Terms of service

Last updated 2 November 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and 18 Yard Development Studio, a business name of Automate Smart Home Studio Pty Ltd (ABN 46 669 281 583), which develops and runs Spread (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Spread’s website, web app or mobile apps, you agree to them. If you use Spread for a business, you agree on behalf of that business.

What Spread does

Spread lets you write a post once and publish it, now or at a time you choose, to the social media accounts you connect, with a caption and settings for each platform. Features and supported platforms may change over time.

Your account

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you post through Spread. You give us permission to store, process and send your content to the platforms you choose, only so we can provide the service. You’re responsible for your content and for having the rights to post it.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Spread to:

When Spread posts for you, you must also follow each platform’s own terms, including those of Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok and YouTube. Connecting YouTube means you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service.

Social platforms

Spread isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by Meta, TikTok or Google. Each platform decides what it accepts and can change its rules, limits or access at any time. A post can fail or be removed because of something on the platform’s side, and Spread will show you when that happens. We aren’t responsible for platforms’ decisions or outages.

Plans and payment

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time (see how to delete your data). We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other users or the service at risk. We’ll tell you why unless the law or safety stops us.

Availability

We work to keep Spread running and to publish posts on time, but the service is provided as it is and may sometimes be unavailable, delayed or have errors. Keep your own copies of important content.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can’t be excluded. Where our liability for a failure to meet a consumer guarantee can be limited, it is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits, reach or data, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms. We’ll update the date at the top, and if a change is significant we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Spread after that, you accept the new terms.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, and you and we submit to the courts there. Questions go to domenic@18yard.dev. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information.
